It’s only a matter of time until the highly anticipated forthcoming third album from Florence and the Machine, today releasing the first track, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful.
It’s an interesting first taste, as the track is primarily orchestral and dominated by swelling strings and horns taking the emphasis completely away from Florence’s magical vocals for a change.
Accompanying the tune is a moving video directed by Tabitha Denholm and Vincent Haycock, featuring Florence and a Florence look-alike dancing in an outdoor amphitheater.
Although there is not set release date yet, we have our fingers crossed that it coincides with a strongly rumored Splendour performance. Florence and the Machine are already confirmed for performances at Coachella and Bonnaroo this year.
