Live Review: Morning Harvey EP Launch @ Coniston Lane Brisbane
Morning Harvey opened the set with a tremendous bang, unleashing the overwhelming soundscape upon us like a ton of bricks that would pound our eardrums for the next hour.
If you're all about that Tame Impala/Cloud Control/Jagwar Ma vibe then you're really going to dig the stuff that Moses Gunn Collective have got for you!
This 4 piece neo-psych band hails from Brisbane, Australia and consists of members Aiden Moore, Samuel Sargent, Lewis Stephenson, and Alex Mitchell. Moses Gunn Collective is a cohesive group of musicians who draw creativity and inspiration from all of their individual other musical projects, by bringing them together to create a complex and layered sound. Best known for their explosive live shows, Moses Gunn bring lush melodic grooves and a flurry of sonic colour that leaves hips and ankles trembling with delight.
Consisting of members from bands such as The Belligerents, The Furrs, Orphans Orphans, Morning Harvey, and The Family Jordan - Moses Gunn Collective is another piece in the ever-building game of musical chairs that exists in the Brisbane suburb of West End. With one eye on their DIY aesthetic, and the other on constantly creating and collaborating with each other, Moses Gunn Collective have a whole lot more to show you throughout the rest of the year.
After living, writing, and playing together since 2009 – Moses Gunn Collective now reveal a new phase of their musical journey – starting with the release of “Shalala” - the first single off their upcoming EP and East Coast tour.
