Brisbane Indie-Soul Crew StormChasers aren't wasting any time on 2014 and can reveal that their EP, entitled 'HEY GIRL' will be released on January 31, 2014 through MGM Distribution in stores and online everywhere.
Early January will also see the band release a filmclip for album track 'Familiar Sounds' and the 7-strong crew will hit the road in February in support of the EP, taking in Brisbane to Melbourne, with dates to be announced .
StormChasers' EP was recorded between Tanuki Lounge with Peter Golikov and Paul Bromley and at QUT's Gasworks studios in Brisbane, with the band's own Beau Jorgensen.
StormChasers' previous singles 'Someone Else' and 'Figurout' have both received a bunch of lovin' from triple j, triple j DIG and triple j unearthed, as well as widespread play on community radio across the country, including 4ZzZ, FBI, RRR and more.
The lead-up to the release of EP has been a slow burn, but it has afforded them appearances at Brisbane Festival, Caloundra Music Festival and Woodford Folk Festival for this year, as well as shows at Eaton's Hill Tavern, Black Bear Lodge, The Zoo, Worker's Club, Brighton Up Bar and more.
