Calling All Cars Announce New Album 'RAISE THE PEOPLE' Set for Release 2014
Following the release of first single ‘Werewolves’ earlier this year, Melbourne rock trio CALLING ALL CARS are proud to announce the release of their third album, entitled RAISE THE PEOPLE on March 7 2014.
Raise The People was recorded in Melbourne with producers Steve Schram (Clairy Browne & the Bangin' Rackettes, Eagle and The Worm, Little Birdy, The Vasco Era) and Tom Larkin (Shihad, Strangers, Young and Restless, Bodyjar, The Getaway Plan) and mixed by the Grammy Award-winning Tchad Blake (Pearl Jam, The Black Keys, Peter Gabriel).
Already revealed is the album’s title track (released via the band’s social networks to whet the appetites of their rabid fanbase) and the first official single ‘Werewolves’ which was added straight to rotation on triple j and enjoyed six weeks in the station’s most played. Next will be summer anthem ‘Standing In The Ocean’, serviced nationally mid-January.
In other news, the band have signed to Cooking Vinyl worldwide via the recently-opened Australian office. The album will be released in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Europe and will see the band relocate to the UK in May 2014 to help beat them at their own rock ’n’ roll game. They have teamed up with PledgeMusic to raise funds for the relocation - see their pledge here.
In the meantime, you can expect to see one of the nation’s hardest working outfits furiously touring Australia, initially with fellow-rockers Kingswood and kicking off the Life’s A Beach Tour on December 27. Full album tour details will be announced soon.
