Singer/Songwriter Lee Safar combines her Music with her Love for Peanut Butter
Entrepreneurial singer/songwriter Lee Safar is back with her latest music release, partnering up with the “Peanut Butter King” Pic’s Peanut Butter. In a world first Safar’s new single “Fallen” is now available for pre-order internationally through purchase of Pic’s Peanut Butter.
Lee Safar first caught international attention when her single “I’m Here” came into final contention for the soundtrack of the second Twilight Movie – New Moon, sending the internet into a buzz. Currently residing between LA and Sydney, this innovative artist is taking her latest music release to the next level by combining her two loves, music and peanut butter, thanks to Pic’s really good Peanut Butter.
“I was lucky enough to be introduced to Pic by friends of mine. I'd tasted his peanut butter two years earlier and from then on I considered him "The Peanut Butter King". When we met, I told him how keen I was to form some sort of a brand alliance. I wanted to do something out of the box when it came to releasing music…something that had never been done before. My fans know that Peanut Butter is my favourite food group. So I thought about releasing a single on a peanut butter jar. Not just any jar though, it had to be a Pic's Peanut Butter Jar…”
Safar’s new single “Fallen” sees the artist continue her new creative direction in EDM sound with an addictive EDM driven track:
“I knew when I wrote 'Fallen' that it would be one of those special songs that people would connect with. When you hear it, you feel it penetrate to that part of your soul that wants to be free of pain. We all know that feeling of being addicted to something or someone that keeps hurting us, wanting to escape it but not being able to break free. I think that's why people are connecting so well with this song. We've all been there at one time or another.”
This latest track also features the work of a powerhouse team, with production work from Adelaide-based EDM producer Shane Cross, mixing work from Grammy-award winning engineer Jason Schweitzer (Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Macy Gray, Mayer Hawthorne) and mastering from Bob Lanzner (Stevie Wonder, Snoop, Chaka Khan) which all came together quite serendipitously.
“When I played the song for Adelaide based producer and friend, Shane Cross, he immediately wanted to turn it into an EDM track. Shane had produced the song 'Illusions' on my album 'Laundry After Midnight' and I knew he'd take great care of this song. I was fortunate to meet Grammy Award Winning Mix Engineer Jason Schweitzer, on my show The Music Spring and we became friends. I told him of the idea we'd had to release the track on peanut butter jars. He loved the idea, took a listen to what Shane and I had done and was keen to come on board to mix the song! He then handed the track to LA mastering wizard Bob Lanzner to polish off in mastering. We're all really really pleased with the end result.”
