THE HOLIDAYS Announce East Coast Tour Dates
Liberation Music is delighted to announce a headline tour of Australia’s east coast for The Holidays this September and October.
The Holidays returned to our radar earlier this year with the release of ‘Voices Drifting’ – the first single from their new album due for release in early 2014.
Now comes another glimpse of the forthcoming LP, in the form of second single ‘All Time High’.
‘All Time High’ is all glorious, shimmering pop on the surface – a sea of swirling, pulsing sound. But the track’s glossy coating is underpinned by a deep dissatisfaction for the here and now – a nostalgic ode to a time and place you'd rather be.
‘Voices Drifting’ captured the attention of the global music community, peaking in the Top 10 of Hype Machine’s Most Popular Chart and receiving regular spins on LA tastemaker station KCRW. The single is now up to over 120,000 plays on Soundcloud.
Both tracks give an insight into the mood and feel of The Holidays’ evolving sound and second album; an offering that was painstakingly created over two years across countless cities and continents.
The Holidays’ debut Post Paradise won the band much respect upon release in 2010, marking them as one to watch. It took out the coveted Red Bull Award for Best Debut as part of 2011’s Australian Music Prize. It also scooped the award for Best Album at The Age’s annual EG Awards. Similarly, there were nominations for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Independent Music Awards and for the AMP itself.
‘All Time High’ is at radio now and will be available digitally from November 11.
