Albums We Can't Wait to Hear in 2014
We're now at the end of 2013 and a cluster of amazing albums have just been released, marking the end of a fine year of music. But, to keep you all in suspense and give everybody something to look...
Rough Trade & Remote Control Records are excited to announce the full details of WARPAINT's new self-titled album, set for release in Australia on Friday 17th January 2014.
WARPAINT is the follow-up to the LA four-piece’s critically acclaimed debut album The Fool (2010).
The first single to be taken from WARPAINT is 'Love Is To Die', available to listen to in full here:
The album is available to pre-order now from iTunes HERE and album buyers will receive an instant grat of ‘Love Is To Die’.
WARPAINT is a Los Angeles based quartet comprised of Emily Kokal (vocals/guitar), Jenny Lee Lindberg (bass/vocals), Theresa Wayman (guitar/vocals), and Stella Mozgawa (drums). To say that this follow-up is "highly anticipated" is an understatement considering the reception that their debut received when it was released at the end of 2010, and the excitement at their recent sold-out shows in New York and LA. They are currently also featured in a Calvin Klein jeans campaign which has received 2 million views via the youtube ad alone. CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE CALVIN KLEIN CAMPAIGN

Warpaint was co-produced by Warpaint and Flood (PJ Harvey, Sigur Ros, New Order, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Foals), and mixed by Flood and Nigel Godrich (Radiohead). The album was conceived after some writing and recording sessions that took place in The Joshua Tree late last year. Here the band was joined by visionary director Chris Cunningham who has partnered with them for many of the album visuals including the cover. He has spent the past two years filming and photographing the band as they made Warpaint.
