Owl Eyes Releases 'Nightmixes' EP

Melbourne indie-pop songstress Owl Eyes shares her Nightmixes EP – a collection of tracks from her debut album Nightswim remixed by some of the best electronic artists right now.

Today Owl Eyes shares Motez's remix of "Open Up" with Gotta Dance Dirty. Blurring the lines between Deep House, Disco and Garage, Motez "takes the sexy lullaby & flips it into Springtime dance mode." Along with Motez's remix of "Open Up" are seven more wonderful reworkings that make up the Nightmixes EP, available now on iTunes via Illusive/Wunderkind. 

Featuring some of Australia’s largest dance music exports in The Aston Shuffle, Cassian and Playmode, emerging artists Collarbones, Motez and Fractures and two Hype Machine-beating mixes from Giraffage (“Closure”) and Goldroom (“Jewels & Sapphires”), Nightmixes is a perfect accompaniment to an album that wasn’t shy in showing its dance music influences.

Owl Eyes is the moniker of Australian singer/songwriter Brooke Addamo who released her debut album Nightswim earlier this year. Though she's only 22, Owl Eyes has already been featured on Triple J's Hottest 100 for the track "Raiders" and her cover of Foster The People's "Pumped Up Kicks". A remarkably deep, ultra-modern, vibrant collection, Nightswim not only showcases Brooke’s signature pop sensibilities and sublime taste, it firmly establishes her as one of music’s brightest and most innovative songwriters.
