The Jezabels have emerged from their studio lockdown, sophomore record in hand, ready to hand it over to patiently waiting fans.
Recorded in London England, under the guidance of producer Dan Grech-Marguerat (Moby, Scissors Sisters, Lana Del Rey, Keane, The Vaccines, The Kooks) the yet to be titled album is due in store early 2014 independently through MGM Distribution.
The End is the first single from the record, a sweeping pop tune that soars to the epic heights The Jezabels have become known for.
“A song about a time that I think we all reach at some point in our lives, where you are not sure you can go on, not sure that you have anything left to give. When you're on your knees asking yourself, Is this the end? If you don't ultimately want to say 'yes' to that question then you know you still have something to give, and you just have to get on with living.” Hayley Mary

It has been a steady rise for the quartet who released their gold selling, ARIA, AIR and AMP award winning debut album, Prisoner in 2011. Screaming in at #2 on the ARIA charts in its first week of release (right behind Adele).
Following their sold out Australian tour in June 2012 which wrapped up with a show to 5500 fans at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, the band relocated to the UK and have spent the past 18 months causing a buzz with their epic live performances at established international festivals like Pukkelpop (Belgium), Lollapalooza (USA, Chicago), Governors Ball (USA, New York), Osheaga (Canada, Montreal), Bumbershoot (USA, Seattle), Frequency (Austria, St Poelten), T In The Park (Scotland), Hop Farm (UK), Fun Fun Fun Fest (USA, Austin), Rifflandia (Canada, Victoria).
Including their own sold out headline shows in places like NY, Toronto, LA, Chicago, San Fran, Vancouver, London, Berlin, Glasgow and more, The Jezables knocked over more than 200 shows in 2012, cementing themselves as a regular highlight on the global touring circuit.
The band will be joining Depeche Mode for a run of UK arena shows this November.
The Jezabels will be playing all dates of St Jerome’s Laneway Festival 2014, ticketing details can be found here: http://lanewayfestival.com/
