Melbourne's Japanese Wallpaper & Brisbane's Wafia Team up on New Single 'Breathe In ft Wafia'

Japanese

At 16 years old, most teenagers are more concerned with exams & partying than preparing themselves for a fruitful music career. Melbourne wunderkind Japanese Wallpaper is not your typical teenager.

A multi-instrumentalist (9 in total), Japanese Wallpaper’s love affair with production began aged 13 on a lengthy family holiday. This initial foray resulted in a debut EP, War Peace Rocket Ships, demonstrating maturity well beyond his years and drawing comparisons with ambient masters Boards of Canada and Tycho as well as praise from a slew of industry heavyweights (including Bombay Bicycle Club, Chet Faker and Jonti).

Breathe In, which features the delicate vocals of Brisbane’s Wafia, with whom Japanese Wallpaper previously collaborated on a blog favoured remix of her original Alice, marks the first single of a new EP
