Melbourne-Based Electronic Duo Private Life Announce 'Escalator' Showcases in November

After originally hailing from vastly opposite ends of Victoria, Melbourne-based electronic duo Private Life have been creating some serious waves around the country recently thanks to their latest track ‘Escalator’.

The two-piece are now set to celebrate their standout single with two showcase performances in Melbourne and Sydney in November. 

Featuring the soaring vocals of front-woman Renee Anderson, and the driving bass of multi-instrumentalist Jamie Barlow‘Escalator’ is the latest single from Private Life’s debut EP, which was produced and mixed by acclaimed writer/producer Jean Paul Fung (Last DinosaursArt Vs. ScienceGlass TowersBluejuice). 

The track has already snared the attention of international tastemaker blogs, with writers in the US, UK, Europe, South Africa and Australia singing undeniable praise for the duo while casting similarities to electronic heavyweights like DevoLittle Dragon and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Triple J Unearthed have recently cast a spotlight on the young duo by adding ‘Escalator’ to one of the station’s feature playlists, while triple j provided the track its debut spin on the station on its Breakfast program yesterday.

The band’s two showcases performances will be held at The Espy in Melbourne on November 1 and The Beresford in Sydney on November 16.  Entry for both events is free.
