Brisbane-based rock 4-piece Forever the Optimist release their new single Revolutions for purchase today, along with the official filmclip and their REVOLUTIONS Tour Dates, throughout November.
The track Revolutions was released to media on September 6, with Australian and US Rock Radio playing it almost immediately - Andrew Haug Radio and The Aussie Alternative in Australia and syndicated Rock show Neueregelradio picking the track up.
Revolutions is darker in tone and showcases front man, Jamie Page's lyrical range, as well as Dan Page and Kellie Buckman's delayed, growling guitars and Andrew Knox' pounding rhythms. It's about thoughts that cannot be shaken and guilt that plays on your mind. Revolutions builds and builds in it's intensity - from a whisper to a thunderous scream.
The tour will take in Brisbane, Toogoolawah, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne and Adelaide, alongside some of Australia's finest crop of alt-rock, prog and heavy acts - Sydonia, Self is a Seed, Engine, Shinobi, Guards of May and We Without... and one very special guest to be announced at a later date for the Brisbane show at The Zoo November 30.
Forever the Optimist formed in June 2010 and has since shared the stage with some of the biggest names in modern Australian music including Grinspoon, The Getaway Plan, Calling All Cars, Redcoats, Harmonic Generator (France), Helm, Electric Horse, Strangers, Ezekiel Ox, Thousand Needles In Red and Floating Me.
Tickets will go on sale in October for their November tour, which kicks off in Adelaide and finishes in hometown Brisbane. See http://www.forevertheoptimist.com.au for ticket details. All shows are 18+. Revolutions is on sale and streaming now in iTunes, BandCamp, triple j unearthed and YouTube. Forever the Optimist will be selling their collected singles (Enter Circus, Warning Horns and Revolutions) on CD throughout the tour.
