AAA's very own Alice Bopf has a chat with Andy Bull about his recent singles, going it solo & hitting the road.
ANDY BULL (TODD RUNDGREN REMIX) - "Baby I Am Nobody Now" Free Download
Australian artist-producer Andy Bull has today announced that his current single “Baby I Am Nobody Now” has been reworked by rock legend Todd Rundgren, with the legendary producer of The New York Dolls, Janis Joplin, Meatloaf and Hall & Oates dropping his own inimitable version of the hit single as a free download.
As most will know, Andy Bull is an artist-producer from Sydney, Australia, who’s unique approach to alternative pop has earned him a special reputation within a scene responsible for breakaway artists such as Tame Impala, Gotye, Empire of The Sun, and Flume.
Recently signed to Republic Records in the US with an album penned for 2014, Andy keeps up the momentum with this remix project, following in the footsteps of Tame Impala and Lindstrom who both recruited the deft touch of Rundgren to remix their own hits “Elephant” and “Quiet Place to Live” respectively.
Andy wasn’t going to miss out on the chance to have such a legend remix his work; “I think of Todd Rundgren as one of the original producer-artists. He sort of pioneered the way that so many of us work now, I’m humbled to have at last made contact with him”.
With the runaway success of “Baby I Am Nobody Now”, Andy Bull’s second self-produced single, and his breakout track “Keep On Running” still fresh in the memory, Bull is being noted as not only a songwriter of lyrical depth, but as an artist-producer with a highly original, exciting sound.
