Brisbane's The Creases New Single 'I Won't Wait'
Introducing THE CREASES made up of Brisbane based songwriters Joe Agius and Jarrod Mahon, the two-piece that live together and create together.
The Creases is a project spawned from a drunken rainy Friday night trapped inside their East-Brisbane share house recording nostalgic low-fi tunes. In the days that followed that fateful night fuzzy youthful tracks ‘Fun To Lose’ and ‘I Won’t Wait’ were born and given life on the Internet.
It’s not everyday an email drops into your inbox from Rough Trade UK saying they want to release your debut 7”, but this is exactly what happened to The Creases before the band had even preformed live.
The flow on effect from that email saw the two-piece pick up support slots for Peace (UK) and The Preatures in Brisbane as well as opening duties on the upcoming national tour with The Jungle Giants. Still – without even playing a single live show.
With a full band finally on board The Creases went on to play their elusive first show with a little help from friends, bass player Aimon Clark and drummer Bridie McQueenie. Punters that witnessed this first show were shown why this band is set to be more than just one song and a bit of buzz.
The Creases - 'I Won’t Wait’ 7” vinyl is out Friday 1st November
