Boy & Bear have scored another number one album with ‘Limit Of Love’ debuting in the stop spot on the ARIA album chart this week.
The news comes as the band prepare for their live shows in Europe and the US before returning to Australia for their national ‘Limit Of Love’ tour in early 2016.
Boy & Bear surprised their fans last week with an impromptu mini-gig in Sydney’s CBD, performing songs off the new album in an acoustic set that gave a taste as to what fans can expect on their tour.
Written together as a full band and recorded live to tape with Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams, Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs) in the inspirational surroundings of Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studio, the album aimed to capture the band in an honest, organic way rather than in a sterile, fine-tuned recording.
The gamble has paid off, with ‘Limit Of Love’ earning praise from all corners of the country. Their first single off the album, Walk The Wire, was instantly added to triple j and continues to be supported by them, as well as the Triple M Network.
They're not the only ones who have been giving the album some love, and with the band set to return next year it marks a good time for Boy & Bear.
