Today’s the day! Nomination announcement day! The 2015 ARIA Award Nominees have been revealed and some of our favourites are leading the pack!
The ARIA awards themselves might be seven weeks away but today the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) announced the nominees in all categories at The Star in Sydney.
But, winners were announced today for three ARIA Artisan Award categories (Producer Of The Year, Engineer Of The Year and Best Cover Art) and four ARIA Fine Arts Awards categories (Best World Music Album, Best Jazz Album, Best Classical Album and Best Original Soundtrack/Cast/Show Album) at the Nominations Event.
With a whopping eight nominations, Courtney Barnett also won her first ARIA Award in the Best Cover Art category making her the most highly nominated artist at the event.
Kevin Parker from Tame Impala added to his ARIA Award collection this morning as well, winning both Producer Of The Year and Engineer Of The Year ARIA Awards for his work on the band’s latest #1 ARIA album, ‘Currents’.
The ARIAs are also giving fans the chance to vote for the Best Australian Live Act category via Twitter by using the artist’s ARIA hashtags. There is also a chance to vote in the four publicly voted awards: Song Of The Year, Best International Act, Best Australian Live Act and Best video at ariaawards.com.au/public-voting.
More performers and presenters will be announced leading up to the awards, which will be broadcast on Ten on Thursday November 26th, 205. The full list of nominees are below!
