Passion Pit Cancels Australian Tour

Passion Pit fans, if you need a shoulder to cry on, we’re here. For we bring you some bad news, don’t shoot the messenger but the band have been forced to cancel their run of Australasian shows. Goodbye my lover, goodbye my friend.

Due to ongoing health issues of front runner Michel Angelakos, the band have withdrawn from their scheduled shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne as well as cancelling appearance in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan.

The statement made by the band did hint towards a make up tour of some sort, so don’t cry for me Argentina just yet, there’s still hope for all you Passion Pit-ers out there.

“It is with a heavy heart that we make such an announcement,” was the official statement. “However, we are left with no choice. Michael Angelakos is devastated and would like everyone to know that he’s working to get healthy as soon as possible. No other tour dates are affected by this issue.” Cancelling tours is never an easy feat, drastic situations call for drastic actions. Get well soon bud.
