DZ Deathrays To Replace Catfish and the Bottlemen At Splendour

Sadly the UK’s Catfish and the Bottlemen have cancelled their Australia and Japan tour dates this week, including their Splendour In The Grass main stage appearance. However, festival organisers have just announced that Brissie rockers DZ Deathrays will be taking their place.

Catfish and the Bottlemen have cited illness as the cause for their pull-out and issued a statement saying:

“It is with huge regret that, due illness in the band and crew, Catfish and the Bottlemen will not be playing their planned shows this week in Australia and Japan; including Splendour in the Grass and Fuji Rocks festivals. The band are obviously absolutely devastated not to be making the trip and hope fans will understand. For the band's headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney, please contact your point of purchase for refund details.”

DZ Deathrays will be taking over their Friday slot at the Amphitheatre stage at 3.15 pm.

Although the Bottlemen’s absence may hurt a little, we’re pretty sure DZ will knock this last minute festival appearance out of the park.
