Brisbane Welcomes the 2014 APRA Music Awards
A signature event on the Australian Music calendar, 2014 sees the awards hosted by Brisbane for the very first time, at City Hall on Monday 23 June.
In celebration of musics from all corners of the industry the APRA Music Awards return for 2015 and have officially unveiled the complete nominations list comprising of music's A-list of talent. This years' list of nominees consists of an ample amount of first timers as well as those established favourites, but there is no denying that this is a list of the best of the best.
Held in Sydney at Carriageworks on Tuesday 24 March and hosted by RocKwiz co-presenter Brian Nankervis, the awards remain a highlight on the Australian music industry event calendar.
Capping off a huge year is Brisbane pop group Sheppard with four nominations. Grammy nominee Sia and co-writer Jesse Shatkin both have three nominations as does Dan Sultan and first time nominees 5 Seconds of Summer. These are just a few of the songwriters representing ten categories including pop, dance, urban, blues and roots, country and rock.
Two special awards decided by the APRA Board of Directors will be presented on the night of the event. These are the Songwriter of the Year and the Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music. The award for Most Played Australian Work Overseas will also be announced at the 2015 APRA Music Awards.

APRA AMCOS is also pleased to announce a new partnership in 2015 with live music film production house & streaming platform, Moshcam and Hostworks, the digital roadies. Powered by Hostworks, and supported through Moshcams' channels, both organisations will look to premiere the highlights of this year's performances and interviews with award winners.
