Aussies Take Over SXSW
An impressive 55 Australian acts are heading over to Austin, Texas for this year’s SXSW, to be held from March 7-16.
The sad news has come through today that there has been a fourth fatality from the horrific car crash at Austin’s SXSW.
The crash, which has already claimed the lives of 35-year-old MassiveMusic employee Steven Craenmehr, 26-year-old Mississippi native Sandy Thuy Le, and 27-year-old Austin local Jamie West, has now extended its victims list to 18-year-old DeAndre Tatum who died from injuries related to the crash.
The driver of the car that brutally plowhed through a pedestrian filled street, 21-year-old Texan Rashad Charjuan Owens, is currently being held with $3 million dollar bail in the Travis County jail and faces the death penalty if found guilty of his crimes.
The incident has left 21 other people with minor to severe injuries.
