Once again the internet is awash with rumours that this Friday 21st December will see some cataclysm to bring about the end of the world. From what we can gather it's something to do with Mayan prophecy and a whole bunch of random nutjobs spending too much time in front of their computers, but we could be wrong.
PALMA VIOLETS reveal debut album details
As previously announced, Palma Violets will release their debut album on Friday 22Feburary 2013 via Rough Trade Records / Remote Control. We are now excited to reveal that the album is titled 180 - also the number of the Lambeth house that the four-piece have become known for regularly throwing parties and impromptu gigs for friends and fans in. The album artwork, below, features the band stood outside the building. 180 was recorded in London at RAK Studios (produced by Pulp’s Steve Mackey), and also at The Lightship (produced by Rory Attwell).

Nantes Drop Video for Drones
It’s safe to say that Sydney outfit Nantes are building up quite the collection of singles, having so far released four memorable and well-received radio hits - ‘Fly’, ‘Charlie’, ‘Unsatisfy’ and the most recent single ‘Drones’ – with only one EP release under their belt to date. Like it should stand for any band, it’s all about the song for Nantes and frontman and songwriter David Rogers has remained consistent in providing flawlessly penned and brilliantly executed tunes time after time, so much so that the accolades continue to stack up almost automatically.
