Melbourne based garage grunge rockers Iowa have announced the release of their debut album ‘Never Saw It Coming’, and if the first two released singles are anything to go by, listeners can expect an aurally mature offering that amplifies and diffuses with squalling guitars, a brick wall of drums and clever bass hooks. The trio solicit images of Sonic Youth, bathed in shoegaze and soaked with remarkably blended vintage low-fi sounds. AAA Backstage caught up with Iowa before their anticipated debut launch.
