We Interview Chance Waters
Chance Waters has built remarkable momentum leading up to last weeks release of his sophomore LP Infinity, resulting in an impressive number 1 debut on iTunes (soz Kendrick Lamar, soz Flo-Rida) and receiving critical acclaim, embraced by both commercial and independent radio stations. The record is instrumentally wry, dry and developed in prolific aural depth, a hiphop introspective lashed with humourous breezy musings, effortless rhythm and lyrically atmospheric rhyme. A constant adaptation of the genre is demonstrated and Waters says the album was a personal evolution, unsubscribing from a blueprint that had been set yet bares the essential skeleton of what defines Australian hiphop. Along with his brilliantly talented band members, dubbed The Grey Starring Liam Neeson, Chance Waters spent some time at AAABackstage HQ with Bailey to talk about the tour, the new album, and the street cred of being Instagram famous.
