Brisbane's October Gig Guide

October is another big month of live music in the river city of Brisbane, with both local and international acts gracing the stages of various venues. Time to clear the schedule, here is the Brisbane gig guide for October.

 

Listen Out – RNA Showgrounds – 4.10.2015 

One of Australia’s best dance festivals is back with a killer line-up featuring Childish Gambino, Alison Wonderland, Joey Bada$$ and heaps more. If that tickles your fancy, you know what to do. 

 

Vallis Alps – The Brightside – 8.10.2015

Hot off the back of a wicked Splendour In The Grass set, and selling out dates across the country, this Brisbane gig is the now the hottest ticket, if you can score one. Go on and check this dynamic duo out while you still can.

KISS – Brisbane Entertainment Centre – 13.10.2015

Rock and roll all night and party every day in Brisbane rock city when the hottest band in the land KISS strut their stuff. Celebrating their 40th anniversary as only KISS could with a world tour, they’re sure to make the crowd shout it out loud. Just remember people keep that love gun holstered. 

Airling – The Foundry – 16.10.2015

Airling is back on home turf as part of her national tour, and will bring with her lush electronics and dream beats, not to mention her spellbinding voice. She has had a fantastic year so far, and this gig is sure to be another highlight.

Megadeth/Children of Bodom – Eatons Hill Hotel – 21.10.2015

Make sure you’ve got an appointment with the chiropractor booked for the next day, as one of metals original big four Megadeth and Children of Bodom will probably put you in a neck brace from the excessive, violent thrashing and mosh-related injuries sure to incur.

 

Valley Fiesta – Fortitude Valley – 23-35.10.2015

One of Brisbane’s most popular, and most importantly, free, street parties is back for another year of great music and food. Taking over the streets, malls and laneways of Fortitude Valley, the fiesta is sure to have something for everyone and features some great music from Alpine, Art Vs Science, Young Franco and Baskervillain. 

 

The Rubens – Max Watt’s House Of Music – 25.10.2015 

Overload! Pleasure overload! Take a deep breath, but hurry because tickets are selling fast. On one of their biggest tours to date the boys will bring with them all the hits sure to make fans weak at the knees.

 

City Calm Down – Black Bear Lodge – 30.10.2015

They’ve been in hibernation but now City Calm Down have finally resurfaced to embark on their maiden national headline tour. Get up close and personal with the Melbourne boys and enjoy their own brand of alternative pop.

 

Chet Faker – Riverstage Brisbane – 31.10.2015

The man with one of the most recognisable beards in music (apart from ZZ Top) is back to wow the Brisbane crowd at Riverstage. Having won almost everything there is to win over at triple j this would be one show that would not soon be forgotten.
