The Zoo is presenting a smorgasbord of new Brisbane talent to all the music lovers in our great city.
The Zoo is proud to announce a night of music showcasing several new and up-and-coming Brisbane bands. The show will take place on the 7th of August, 2014, and will feature Flynn Effect, Hyde &The Hitcher and The Vices.
Flynn Effect
Flynn Effect are an up-and-coming female fronted four piece band based in Brisbane, Australia. Reminiscent of bands like Lacuna Coil and Rammstein, they bring together driving riffage with a symphonic ambiance and big melodies suited to ride any soul into battle. The band is preparing to release their debut full length album "Skin" in 2014.
Hyde & The Hitcher
Formed from the ashes of bands across Brisbane's thriving music scene, Hyde and the Hitcher came together in 2014 with one goal in mind: turn it up loud and damn the fools.
The band has spent the initial stages working hard on developing a set list of hard and dirty rock 'n' roll. Plenty of distortion and sludge underpins the sound and you won't find an acoustic guitar anywhere.
The Vices
The Vices are a three piece delivering a progressive, hard rock sound which embraces old school grunge infused with explosive drums and popping bass lines, tempered with escalating melodies from the likes of Alice in Chains and Incubus. With an EP scheduled to record later in the year, The Vices are leading into a big 2015.
