There’s always been something missing from the Australian music festival scene, but we’ve never been able to put our fingers on it. Until now. Some genius has put together a new heavy metal festival to be held in a REAL LIFE CASTLE! (Well, the Australian equivalent of a castle).
Rolling Thunder festival will celebrate its inaugural event in February next year in country Victoria, near Ballarat. Kryal Castle (a medieval theme park) will play host to 25 metal acts from here and overseas, including American Sharks, The Sword, Hobo Magic, and Clowns. Check out the first line-up announcement below.
Held across two stages, the event will also have food trucks and market stalls, as well as multiple bars where you can wet your whistle.
The one day festival will be all ages and takes place on Saturday, 20 February, 2016. For ticket details, head HERE.
