Falls Festival Heading to Byron Bay, NYE 2013
The Falls Music & Arts Festival is hitting the road this December with their compass set towards the sunny shores of Byron Bay, New South Wales!
You’ve asked, and Falls has listened, with the festival introducing a heap of super easy transport options to make the experience that more enjoyable.
Summer road trips with friends create memories to last a lifetime, and for many who are heading to Falls Festival the journey is a huge part of the experience. This is why the good people at Falls have worked hard to make your festival as stress free as possible, with car passes now on sale.
It seems that the Byron Bay Falls has received the biggest boost, as they’ve added buses to the beach, a vastly improved shuttle bus system, camping next to cars, carpooling services and heaps more.
At Byron, Falls are scheduling plenty of regular bus shuttles to and from the beach throughout the day for those who want to escape the heat with a dip in the ocean, while Lorne has regular shuttles to and from town with plenty of beach options, and Marion Bay is an easy 15 minute walk from the shore.
For those who are driving to Lorne or Byron Falls, you will nee to pre-purchase a car pass. This system reduces the cars on the roads and onsite, lowering congestion and making more space at the festival. If you’re camping and arrive with three or more people, you get your money back for the pass, and if you are purchasing a day carpark pass, four in the car will earn you a refund. However if you do arrive at the gate without one, you’ll end up paying more at the gate so be prepared.
To help encourage carpooling and help out Mother Earth, Falls have launched their ride sharing app to help people get to the festival, as well as meet new people and make some friends.
One of the biggest changes to Falls Byron is the ability to camp next to your car. No more lugging camping gear into the campground if you want to park right next to your tent for zero fuss and maximum comfort. Please be aware that once you have parked in the campground there is no way your car can leave until the end of the festival. There is still the option to park and camp separately if you need to leave early or drive anywhere.
Falls Music and Arts Festival is a world class line-up of music and arts in a relaxed environment, and these improvements will be sure to relieve some headaches!
