Gympie Music Muster Announces ‘Department Of Youth’ Day Event

It’s not called the Country Music Muster anymore and for good reason. The ever-evolving Gympie Music Muster has been expanding its horizons over the past few years, boasting an incredible array of contemporary pop & folk artist in addition to the country favourites to appeal to a younger demographic. 

The Department ofYouth, is an exciting new addition to the four day event. The concert, which will be held at the infamous Crowbar, will kick off at noon on Saturday and fans can expect to see 2-time ARIA Award winner and Triple J favorite Josh Pyke, break-out singer-songwriter Thelma Plum, 2013 Australia’s Got Talent Winners Uncle Jed, Jebediah front-man and ARIA award winner, Bob Evans and hot family alt-folk group The Soorelys - who have just released a pretty fun little film clip: 

When the lineup for this year’s Muster was announced in March, you couldn’t help but be taken aback by the caliber of talent that is on offer across such a broad spectrum…from newcomers to legends… You can expect the likes of Lee Kernaghan, Kasey Chambers, John Williamson and The McClymonts to show you what the Muster has always and will always be about.

Australia’s favorite camping and music festival is gearing up for another exciting event. Now in its 33^rd year, the Gympie Music Muster will be held from Thursday 28^th to Sunday 31^st August 2014 in the stunning Amamoor Creek State Forest Park, just south-west of Gympie and a little more than 90 minute drive north of Brisbane. Remember "There are no strangers at the Muster, only friends you haven't met yet”.
