Karnivool’s Loose Lips Confirm Place on 2014 Groovin’ The Moo Line-up

There might be a few weeks until The Groovin’ The Moo line-up is released, but an interview on Triple J yesterday revealed Perth outfit Karnivool as the first band confirmed for the 2014 event.

Chatting with Lindsay ‘The Doctor’ McDougall, front man Ian Kenny let slip that they’ll be playing the regional festival whilst discussing the band’s plans for the year ahead:

This tour finishes in a week or so, then we have a bit of time off. We have the Groovin’ The Moo festival coming up, and then midyear we’ll be in Europe doing the festival circuit there again, and that’ll take us to the back half of the year and I’m not exactly sure what’s happening there.

You can listen to the full interview here.

Karnivool have had a huge year, with their third album Asymmetry reaching the #1 spot on the ARIA album charts. They are currently completing an Australian tour with Brisbane ‘s Dead Letter Circus.

2014 will see Groovin’ The Moo heading to South Australia for the first time, setting up at Oakbank, half an hour west of Adelaide. The festival will also head to Maitland, Canberra, Bendigo, Townsville and Bunbury. The full line-up is due to drop on January 29.
