The Falls Music & Arts Festival Byron Bay Sold Out!
With both Lorne and Byron allocations completely exhausted, the only place patrons will be able to catch this year’s stellar line-up is at Marion Bay, Tasmania.
Marion Bay has always had a large interstate contingency with nearly 60% of the sold out crowd in 2012 coming from mainland Australia. Many of the people attending Falls turn their small trip to the festival into a larger Tasmanian holiday, with so much going on in the state over the summer period to explore. The natural splendour of the coastlines, mountaintops and winding roads lead to endless adventures where days spent camping under the blanket of a stunning natural landscape are complimented by a swell of activity at MONA, Australia’s best food and wine event Taste Festival, Sydney to Hobart and more.
For those coming from afar there are plenty of options available to make the journey smooth and fuss free.Gimme Shelter ticket options have been expanded, this ticket type is selling fast, providing patrons with a tent already set up on arrival and a sleeping mat, saving pitching and packing time. Tepee Life is also a handy selection where ticket holders can hire the use of 2,4 or 6 man tepee made with fun designs from discarded corporate advertising banners.
As an all ages event the festival is family friendly and this year there are a number of initiatives that will make taking the kids even easier. There will be a family only campground where patrons with a brood can relax with other families. The Village arts programming has numerous interactive activities to immerse the kids in creativity and fun throughout the festival; including circus workshops, craft corners, large scale sculpture classes, face painting stations, beauty salons, art parades and many more. The farm is spacious and sprawling so there is plenty of room to spread out and relax, either onsite or on the beach adjacent to the main arena.
